Manual Sync Process within GraspDATA (add-on product)

The ability to Manually Sync data into GraspDATA is an add-on product. The steps below apply if you have purchased Manual Sync. If you do not have this option and are interested in more details, please email support@grasptech.com.

  1. On the left-hand side of the GraspDATA screen, you will see the menu.
  2. Hover your mouse over DATA CAFE
  3. You will see a list with two items: DATA INQUIRY and DATA SYNCHRONIZATION
  4. Click on DATA SYNCHRONIZATION
  5. The ‘Synchronization Type’ will auto-populate, based on the agency’s back office. If you have multiple options, select the sync needed using the drop-down list.
  6. Click on ‘Sync Data’ anytime that you have made updates in your back-office system and wish to have this information reflected within the GraspDATA tool. The screen will show ‘Synchronization in progress…’:

    Note: Grasp performs a nightly sync and a weekend audit sync, which we process, in addition to the manual sync the agency may initiate.
  7. Allow time for the sync process to complete. The sync typically takes 30-60 minutes, but the length of time can vary depending on the amount of information being transmitted. When the sync has completed, you will no longer see ‘Synchronization in progress…’. Also, the date/time stamp under the login username in the upper right of the screen will change to show the last sync date/time.       (Grasp runs in Eastern Time Zone)

  8. You can test the completion of the sync by running reports, and/or reviewing the data in DATA CAFE > DATA INQUIRY.
  9. If the test reports, or information in DATA CAFE>DATA INQUIRY, do not show the results expected, then allow additional time for the sync process to complete, and repeat step 8 above.
