Hotel Chain Table Updates

Steps to update your Hotel Chains.

To update your Hotel Chain table, please run report #12476 - Hotel Chain Master Table QC (if you are on a dedicated server the report # may be different, but the name is the same). The report runs as an Excel document. 


After the report runs, open it and make your changes within the report. Please review two tabs:


First tab - HotelChainQC - on this tab you will remove duplicates and fix any incorrect chain names.  

  • First sort the spreadsheet by column A and check for any duplicate chain codes. Delete any duplicates that are found.  
  • Then sort by column B to see if you have name duplicates or codes with missing names.  Delete duplicates and correct, or add, any names needed.  

Second tab - MissingChainNamesQC - this tab contains hotel chains that are missing names.

  • Add the Chain Name for any that should be included on your reports.
  • Then copy the row(s) that you update on tab 2 and paste them into tab 1.  

 

Review tab 1 again after all updates have been made. 

  • Check for any duplicates, or missing information and correct as needed. 
    • When we update the table from this report, everything on tab 1 will show in your table.  If there are duplicates or blanks, that will create an error when loading.  All duplicates and blank information, should be updated, or deleted, from tab 1 of the spreadsheet.
  • After making the updates, save the file and email a copy to support@grasptech.com.  Support will open a case to have your table updated. 

 

Once your table is updated, new reports, including new reports for historical data, will reflect the new information.
