GraspHOPR Dashboard Widgets

The information below provides the recommended Dashboard setup for the GraspHOPR widgets along with details about each of the widgets.

GraspHOPR includes 10 Dashboard Widgets.  Note, GraspHOPR dashboard widgets are only visible to Agency Admins.

We recommend using a new Dashboard page that is dedicated only to the GraspHOPR widgets, which is the process outlined below.



 

Add a Dashboard Page With The GraspHOPR Layout

  1. Click Dashboard from the Left Menu
  2. Hover the mouse over the page bar to see the + Sign and tool tip ‘New Page’.  Click the + sign to create a new page.
  3. Add the Name for the page: GraspHOPR (If you choose to use a different name for the page, Please Note: Do NOT use any special characters in your page names, including the apostrophe ' symbol - ONLY use alpha and numeric characters.)
  4. Select the box if you would like this page to be the default dashboard page.
  5. Layout:  Choose the GraspHOPR layout 
  6. Theme: Choose the theme you would like to use
  7. Click Save


 

Add The GraspHOPR Widgets to the Dashboard Page

  1. Hover your mouse on the page where you want to add the widget.  A + sign will appear with the tooltip ‘Click Here to add widget’.  Click on the + sign.
  2. Type HOPR in the Dashboard box to see all of the widgets.
  3. Click on the widget to add.  The Title will auto-populate based on the widget name.  You can edit the Title on the Settings tab:
  4. Click the Filters tab and set the Date Field as IssuedDate and Date Range as All Dates.
  5. Click Save. 

 

Widget Placement

Recommended order of the widget placement, but you can place the widgets in any order you wish.  This list is, from top left to bottom right.

Widget Details

ROW 1

Dashboard Widget Name:       LINE - GraspHOPR YOY Average Days to Pay

Filters Tab:                                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the average days to pay commission for all hotels combined year over year. This will help you determine if the program is working. Mouse over the line will show the average days to pay.

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 365 days rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Vendor Payment Date is > 0 and < 365 Days
  • Commission is > 0
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget does not rely on Master Hotel to work since it does not return individual hotels

 

Dashboard Widget Name:       LINE - GraspHOPR Hotel Commission Payment Trend by Volume

Filters Tab:                                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the expected commission vs. what was actually received. Expected is based upon the check out date being at least 60 days or greater back, meaning if you checked out August 1st, you would expect to have that commission by September 30th. Mouse over the line will show the amount.

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 18 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Duration is < 100 nights (due to potential bad data)
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget does not rely on Master Hotel to work since it does not return individual hotels

 

ROW 2

Dashboard Name:        BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Brands by Probability to Pay

Filters Tab:                          Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the percent of unpaid commissions by the hotel parent brand. In the example above, Morgan Hotel Group has 100% unpaid commissions. Loews Hotels has 79% unpaid commissions. Mouse over the bar will show the percentage as a decimal (0.79).

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 12 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Hotel Parent Brand name is not null
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget relies on Master Hotel Chains

 

Dashboard Name:           PIE - GraspHOPR Top 5 Brands by Unpaid Commission

Filters Tab:                          Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 5 Hotel Parent Brands with the highest unpaid commissions. All others are lumped together as ‘Others’.

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 12 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Hotel Parent Brand name is not null
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget relies on Master Hotel Chains

 

Dashboard Name:       BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Brands by Days to Pay

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 10 Hotel Parent Brands that are the slowest in paying commission. Mouse over will show the average days that commission is paid after check out. The above chart shows that BWH Hotel Group averages 80 days.

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 12 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Hotel Parent Brand name is not null
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget relies on Master Hotel Chains



ROW 3

Dashboard Name:       BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Chains by Probability to Pay

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the percent of unpaid commissions by hotel chains. In the example above, Hilton Garden Inn has 99% unpaid commissions. Marriott Hotels has 75% unpaid commissions. Mouse over the bar will show the percentage as a decimal (0.75).

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 12 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Hotel Chain name is not null
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget relies on Master Hotel Chains

 

Dashboard Name:       PIE - GraspHOPR Top 5 Chains by Unpaid Commission

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 5 Hotel Chains with the highest unpaid commissions. All others are lumped together as ‘Others’.

Dashboard Name:       BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Chains by Days to Pay

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 10 Hotel Chains that are the slowest in paying commission. Mouse over will show the average days that commission is paid after check out. The above chart shows that Waldorf Astoria Hotels averages 106 days.

ROW 4

Dashboard Name:        BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Hotel Brands by Volume

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 10 Hotel Parent Brands with the highest overall sales volume. This is really more for reference when looking at the other widgets on the page. Mouse over will show the total sales volume for that parent brand.

Business Rules:

  • Date Range is the last 12 months rolling, starting 30 days ago
  • Commission is > 0
  • Hotel Parent Brand name is not null
  • Booking Type is Hotel only
  • No Voids or Refunds
  • This widget relies on Master Hotel Chains

 

Dashboard Name:       BAR - GraspHOPR Top 10 Hotel Chains by Volume

Filters Tab:                         Date Field:  Issued Date    Date Range: All Dates

PURPOSE:  This widget shows the Top 10 Hotel Chains with the highest overall sales volume. This is really more for reference when looking at the other widgets on the page. Mouse over will show the total sales volume for that chain.
